The Ancient Parish of BUGTHORPE

"BUGTHORPE, a parish in the wapentake of Buckrose, and liberty of St. Peter's; 7 miles NNW. of Pocklington. The parish church at this place is a small building (see Churches for photograph), of which the Rev. Christopher Roberts, is the vicar and patron. -Population 281.""THORALDBY, a farm house in the township and parish of Bugthorpe; ½ mile NNW. of Bugthorpe, 6 miles from Pocklington, 12 from York."
