- 1. Hundred is spelt as CLACKCLOSS in Poll book but can also be spelt as CLACKCLOSE.
- 2. Mr Thomas WHITEMAN's residence at Couldham may be Shouldham?
- 3. Mr Cook WILKERSON's residence at Mordlen could be Wiggenhall St Mary Magdalen?
- 4. Mr William DEYE's residence at Warsham could be a mis-spelt Wareham (Wereham)? Mr George DEYE lives there.
- 5. Wm. Beaupre Bell GREAVES, Esq; lived at Fulbourn, Cambs.
- 6. In the transcription of the Poll Book the modern spelling of place names has been added in brackets "()" to many of the entries so that a search will find them.
- 7. Third column total ie. 2 missing.
- 8. "(-)" indicates who was voted for but this is included in count for original page.
- 9. "William Power" is not in Crouse Poll book.
Places with no voters
The following places :-
BEXWELL, FORDHAM, ROXHAM, SHINGHAM, SOUTH RUNCTON, STOW-BARDOLPH and WALLINGTON CUM THORPLAND
had no one who lived there and voted because of a freehold in the same place.
Note that many people still voted based on a freehold held elsewhere. An example of this is Stow Bardolph with no entries but with the following :-
- Francis Rising is under Hockering because of his freehold there but lives in Stow Bardolph.
- William Barton a Clerk (Clergyman) is under Wiggenhall because of his freehold there but lives in Stow Bardolph.
