Driby

  • The Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint Michael.
     
  • The original church here is thought to date to pre-1583.
     
  • The church was rebuilt in stone in 1849-50.
     
  • The 1949 series "The King's England" by Arthur MEES advises that Driby had "a little stone church completely rebuilt last century".
     
  • The church was declared redundant by the Diocese of Lincoln in October, 1974. It was converted for residential use in February, 1978.
     
  • The church seats only 80.
