“DRIBY, a parish in the Wold division of the wapentake of Candleshoe, parts of Lindsey, in the county of Lincoln, 5 miles S.W. of Alford, its post town and railway station on the Great Northern line, and 6 N. of Spilsby. A range of chalk hills skirts the eastern side of the parish. There are only a few farmhouses. The living is a rectory annexed to that of South Ormsby, in the diocese of Lincoln. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is a small structure, with a turret and one bell. The trustees of the late C. B. Massingberd, Esq., are lords of the manor, and owners of the whole of the soil. Driby is a meet for the South Wolds hounds."

- The Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint Michael.
- The original church here is thought to date to pre-1583.
- The church was rebuilt in stone in 1849-50.
- The 1949 series "The King's England" by Arthur MEES advises that Driby had "a little stone church completely rebuilt last century".
- The church was declared redundant by the Diocese of Lincoln in October, 1974. It was converted for residential use in February, 1978.
- The church seats only 80.
