  • BENNETT'S END, a township in the parish of Cainham, hundred of Stottesdon, in the county of Salop, 3 miles to the E. of Ludlow.
  • KNOWBURY, a colliery village and ecclesiastical district in the parish of Cainham, in the hundred of Munslow, county Salop, 4 miles E. of Ludlow, and 24 S.E. of Shrewsbury. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Hereford, value £100, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is a modern edifice dedicated to St. Paul.
