Contributors

Contributors are able to edit existing nodes for which they have been authenticated - their name appears at the foot of each such node. (When logged in and viewing such a node, the set of buttons visible in a line across the page, just below the title of the page, will be not just "View", "What Links Here", "Revisions" and "Broken Links", but also "Edit".) In such circumstances clicking on this Edit button opens up a simplified Edit Template that provides a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) style editing facility which can be used to augment or modify the nodes' information content. In the case of Place nodes (e.g. for parish pages), the template's fields for topics that already contain information and those that are as yet empty are both shown, preceded by a set of links to these fields. The empty fields come at the end of the template, but will move up into their correct alphabetical position once added to.
