J. G. A.E.G. This tablet, under a deep and sacred feeling of filial duty, gratitude and affection, is erected to the honoured memory of JOHN GREAME esquire and ANN ELIZABETH his truly amiable and excellent wife, who during a long course of years were resident in this township, where they were greatly and deservedly respected and esteemed for their uniform kindness and benevolence, in calm serenity of mind, and in humble and Christian hope, confiding in the merits and atonement of their blessed Redeemer. They departed this life, the latter, aged LXXV, on the VI and the former, aged LXXI, on the XXIV of February MDCCCXLI, sincerely beloved and mournfully regretted. Their remains lie interred in the Parish Church of Bridlington. We know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. They are buried here | |
