In a vault beneath this stone lie interred the mortal remains of JOHN GREAME of Sewerby House in this parish, esquire, and of ANNE ELIZABETH GREAME his amiable and beloved wife, who both departed this life in the month of February 1841; the latter on the 6th aged 75 years, and the former after a brief interval of 18 days on the 24th of the said month aged 81 years. They were lovely and pleasant in their lives and in their death they were not divided. Here also are interred the remains of YARBURGH YARBURGH esquire of Sewerby House and Heslington Hall in this county only son of the above named JOHN GREAME who departed this life January 26th 1856 aged 70 years.
