In 1864 (White's Directory) they were meeting in a room belonging to M. Brown, Esq. In 1883 (White's Directory) the Wesleyans were meeting in a room belonging to R. Pratt, Esq. They had been meeting in the village since first decade of 1800's. Chapel built by 1892. Registered as "Surlingham Methodist Church" on 12th Dec 1963. Closed by 24/Mar/1980. Converted to a house by 1982.
