- In 1894 the parish was in the Deanery of Flegg, in the archdeaconry of Norwich.
It could have been in a different deanery or archdeaconry both before and after this date. - In 1911 the parish of St Mary, Southtown, was created. It included the "neighbourhood of Vauxhall station". [From Kelly's Norfolk Directory for 1916].
