This village and parish lies about 5 miles south-south-east of Market Rasen and two miles north-west of East Barkwith. Sixhills parish lies to the north. The parish covers about 1,420 acres.

This was an agricultural parish where wheat, oats and barley competed with root crops for the residents attention. If you are planning a visit:

• This place was an ancient parish in Lincoln county and became a modern Civil Parish when those were established.
   
• The parish was in the western division of the ancient Wraggoe Wapentake in the West Lindsey district in the parts of Lindsey.
   
• Kelly's 1900 Directory of Lincolnshire places this parish, perhaps erroneously, in the East Lindsey division of the county, as does the 1913 edition.
   
• In April, 1936, this Civil Parish was abolished and all the land amalgamated into Legsby Civil parish.
   
• Today's district governance is provided by the West Lindsey District Council.

• Bastardy cases would be heard at the Wragby petty sessional hearings on the first Thursday of the month.
