It was founded in 1927. It closed after 1980. Known locally as "The Institute" (or just "the Stute"), this was a church hall in which services were also held. It was linked to St Mary the Virgin (Ellenbrook) within the CofE Parish of St Mark at Worsley. That site is now occupied by houses. Services as still being held, but are now located in the nearby St Andrews Primary School.
