• Acton: St. Mary (Church of England). The ancient parish church for the township of Faddiley.
• Woodhey, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Founded in 1809, rebuilt on a new site in 1873, closed in 1980. Registers of Marriages 1899-1977 have been deposited at the Cheshire Archives & Local Studies.
