Free Church, Great Charles Street, Methodist

  • 1800: opened as a Methodist church (known as the "Wesley Chapel").
  • 1816: Following a split in the congregation, it became a Primitive Wesleyan Methodist church (and then known as the "Free Church").
  • 1826: Primitive Methodist congregation moved to a new smaller chapel and the church was bought by the Church of Ireland (and known as the "Free Episcapol Chapel").
  • 1998: Church closed and the building repurposed.
