- St Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, Skipton. In 1836, having already bought the land, Charles Robert TEMPEST laid the (The Church's website is here.) corner stone of this church. He paid in excess of £900 for the building of it, his sister Frances Barbara paid £500 and his brother Walter Joseph contributed £100. The church was completed in 1843.
