Cemeteries information for Ecclesfield and places above it in the hierarchy
- Here are photographs of Cemeteries in the parish:
- The Friends of Wardsend Cemetery group has been set up with the aim of promoting this historic Victorian Cemetery whilst trying to preserve the abundant flora and fauna which has adopted this site over the last 150 odd years. This cemetery is the last resting place of over 30,000 Sheffield and district people as well as military personnel from the nearby Sheffield (Hillsborough) Barracks.
- During our visits to Yorkshire, I have taken over 60,000 photographs of graves in the East Riding. You can access the Graves Surname index here.
- In her travels round the county, Mel Towler has built up a large number of "Stray" inscriptions. These have been posted to Yorksgen and other lists one at a time and can be seen here, listed complete up to December 2001.
