New Channelkirk, Church of Scotland

This square bellcote dated 1817 is on the west gable wall of the church. The bell is inscribed CHANNON KIRK 1702. Channonkirk was a previous name for the church but it was known as Channelkirk after 1716. The present church was built in 1817 replacing a smaller church on the same site.
