Lenton
The Industrial Training Institution and Orphanage at Old Lenton provided a home for young females where religious traing was combined with training in domestic tasks. In 1904 it held 49 students.
John SUTTON has a photograph of the Nottingham University Sustainable Chemistry Laboratory on Geo-graph, taken in September, 2018. The Jubilee Campus was destroyed by fire on 12 September 2014. It was immediately rebuilt and opened in 2016.
The former Church of England School built in 1841 is now the Sikh Temple.
Alan MURRAY-RUST has a photograph of the Lenton Primary School on Geo-graph, taken in February, 2014. It is now the Abbey Campus, Lenton, of Dunkirk Primary School which is about 1 km distant.

- Universities: Brief biographical details of graduates of Cambridge or Oxford Universities are provided in either Alumni Cantabrigienses by JA Venn or Alumni Oxonienses : the Members of the University of Oxford, by Joseph Foster, respectively, which are particularly useful for C of E ministers. They are available in various forms:
