Cotham

  • In the 1086 Domesday Book there was a church and a priest reported.
     
  • The present church was erected in the 12th century.
     
  • Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint Michael.
     
  • The tower and the west part of the nave were pulled down in the latter part of the 18th century.
     
  • A new belfry was added in 1890.
     
  • The church seated 120.
     
  • The church was largely disused since 1966 and closed for services in 1976.
