"KILLAY is a hamlet, 1½ miles west of Sketty, partly within the parish of Bishopston, with a station on the Gowerton and Swansea Bay line of the London, Midland and Scottish railway. There is a Baptist chapel, built in 1831, rebuilt in 1844 and altered in 1877, again rebuilt in 1899, at a cost of £1,300, and will now seat 600, and an English Congregational chapel, erected in 1911.
