The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Knelston contained the following places:
"KNELSTON, (or Knollston), a parish in the hundred of Swansea, county Glamorgan, 13 miles S.W. of Swansea. The village, which is small, is wholly agricultural. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of St. David's, in the patronage of the dean and chapter. The church, formerly dedicated to St. Maurice, is in ruins.
