The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Llangunllo contained the following places:
"LLANGUNLLO, a parish in the hundred of Troedyraur, county Cardigan, 3 miles N.E. of Newcastle-in-Emlyn, its post town, and 13 W. of Lampeter. This is a small agricultural place. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of St. David's, value £148, in the patronage of the freeholders. The church is dedicated to St. Cynllo. Gernôs and Bronwydd are the principal residences."
