A Category B listed church on Main Street, built as the Free Church in 1846.South Church (St Andrew) has been in Barrhead since 1846, and united with Nitshill & Levern Church in 1985 to form South & Levern Church.The current St. Andrew’s Parish Church of Scotland was subsequently formed from a union of Arthurlie and South & Levern Churches. The union took place on Thursday 6 June 2013. Both buildings are used for the activities of the various church groups, with the Arthurlie building now the main focus of activity and known as St Andrews. Both buildings are within the central area of Barrhead, located close to each other on Main Street.
