A church is known to have exisited in Whitekirk since the 12th Century. The parish was linked with Tyninghame in 1761.
The building was badly damaged by fire in 1914, alegedly started by suffragettes, and subsequently restored. It remained in use as a parish church until 2021.
Extensive historical information, photographs, etc, can be found in the Canmore database.
OPRs (Old Parish Registers) are available from 1695, however they are limited, with records of births " probably defective till 1760, the original records having been accidentally burnt" (Prior to the 1914 fire).
The NRS website provides further details of the existing records.
