It was founded in 1854. It closed in 1952.
This church was built on waste ground as the result of bishop Forbes' efforts to re-establish the Episcopal church in Brechin diocese. This was the first Episcopalian church built in Dundee since 1690. Bishop Forbes gave it priority over his cathedral. This church survives in secular use. The congregation moved to Dudhope Crescent in 1952.
