It was founded in 1952.
This church was built for the Catholic Apostolic Church, and was bought from them. Opened for worship February 1952, consecrated 1954. It replaced an earlier (and much smaller) church near the West Port. The old St Mary Magdalene was the first Episcopalian church built in Dundee since 1690.
