The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Inch S contained the following places:"INCH, a parish in the barony of Shelmaliere West, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 6½ miles S.W. by W. from Taghmon, its post town. It is 2 miles long by about 1 mile broad. The surface, which is partly drained by the Corug, consists of middling soil. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ferns, value' with Horetown, £362, in the patronage of the bishop. This parish forms part of the Roman Catholic district of Newbawn."
