The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Kiltinan contained the following places:"KILTINAN, a parish in the barony of Middlethird, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles S.E, of Fethard, its post town. It is 3 miles in length, and the same in breadth. The surface lies along the banks of the river Anner. It is mountainous in the eastern portion, comprising a portion of the Slievenaman range. It is intersected by the road from Clonmel to Cloneen. The church is in ruins. There are a Roman Catholic chapel and a day-school. Kiltinan House is a mansion occupying the site of the old castle."
