KILMORE, a parish, in the barony of Kilnemanagh, county of Tipperary, and province of Munster, 4¼ miles (W. N. W.) from Cashel; containing 1029 inhabitants. It comprises 1973 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. Kilmore is the residence of Austin Cooper, Esq.; and Ballywalter, of F. V. Wayland, Esq. It is a chapelry, in the diocese of Cashel, and in the patronage of the Archbishop: the tithes amount to 3100. 8. 7¼. There is a private school of about 100 children.
