The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Killeenasteena contained the following places:"KILLEENASTEENA, a parish in the barony of Middlethird, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles S.S.W. of Cashel. It is 1½ mile long, and its greatest breadth is 1 mile. It is crossed by the road from Golden to Clonmel. The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Cashel."
