In 1868, the parish of Brickendown contained the following places:"BRICKENDOWN, a parish in the barony of Middlethird, in the county of Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, not far from Cashel. It includes the village of Mocklershill. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cashel, Emly, Waterford, and Lismore, value £61, in the patronage of the bishop."
