The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Dromcolliher contained the following places:

"DROMCOLLIHER, a parish and post town in the barony of Upper Connello, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 10 miles S.E. of Newcastle, on the road to that town from Charleville. The living is a vicarage with Corcomohide, in the diocese of Limerick. The church is in ruins. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Killaliathane. There is a day school for boys and girls, and a police station. Limestone is quarried, and coal exists in some parts of the parish. Fairs are held on the 15th March, 2nd May, 17th June, 24th August, 5th November, and 3rd December.
