"TERMONBARRY, a parish in the barony of North Ballintober, county Roscommon, and Mohill, county Leitrim, Ireland, 7 miles E. of Strokestown. It is situated near the terminus of the Royal canal and Lough Forbes, at the nine-arched bridge over the river Shannon. The parish, which is boggy, includes the village of Roosky, or Rusky, where are a post-office and a police station, and where petty sessions are held. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Kilmore, Ardagh, and Elphin, value £200, in the patronage of the bishop. There are two Roman Catholic chapels, and several schools."
