In 1868, the parish of Rossinan contained the following places:"ROSSINAN, a parish in the baronies of Ida and Knocktopher, county Kilkenny, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles N.N.W. of Waterford. Innistiogi is its post town. The road from Waterford to Kilkenny passes through the parish. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ossory, value with Kilbeacon, £214, in the patronage of the bishop. It is joined to Kilmacow in the Roman Catholic arrangement.
