The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Kilderry contained the following places:"KILDERRY, a parish in the barony of Gowran, county Kilkenny, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles N.E. of Kilkenny, its post town. It is 2½ miles long by 1¼ mile broad. The living is a rectory and vicarage in the diocese of Ossory, value £120, in the patronage of the bishop."
