In 1868, the parish of Ballygurrim contained the following places:"BALLYGURRIM, a parish in the barony of Ida, in the county of Kilkenny, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles from Ross. It is situated in a pleasant country near the west bank of the river Barrow. The living is a vicarage united with that of Rosbercon, in the diocese of Ossory, Ferns, and Leighlin.
