The household schedules prior to the 1901 census have been destroyed. The 1901 and 1911 census schedules are available online via the National Archives of Ireland website. District Electoral Divisions (DEDs) were used for the census returns rather than civil parishes. The bulk of Molahiffe parish formed Molahiffe DED. Five townlands (Ballyfinnane, Breanshagh, Coolclieve, Garraun and Knockbrack) formed part of Klinanare DED.
