The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Palmerstown contained the following places:

"PALMERSTOWN, a parish in the barony of West Balrothery, county Dublin, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles N.W. of Kilsallaghan. Swords is its post town. It is 22 1 miles long, and its extreme breadth is 1 mile. The surface consists entirely of good soil, and is crossed by the road from Garristown to Dublin. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Dublin, value with Clonmethan, £494, in the patronage of the archbishop. The church is in ruins. Jordanstown is the principal residence. Building-stone is obtained here."
