The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilbarrack contained the following places:

"KILBARRACK, a parish in the barony of Coolock, county Dublin, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles N.E. of Dublin. The parish is 2 miles long by 1 mile broad. Baldoyle is its post town. The soil is good. The living is part of the benefice of Howth, in the diocese of Dublin, value £173, in the patronage of the bishop. Kilbarrack House is the principal seat. On the Howth road are the ruins of an ecclesiastical establishment, frequently called the Abbey of Kilbarrack. The old burial-ground is still sometimes used."
