William Fawcett of Upton in the Parish of Westham. co. Essex, Gent by will dated 27 Apr 1630, subjected Upper Hesleden wh he had in mortge for £630, to the payment of £18.6.8; four pounds of wh. to be given to the poor persons of Littondale. |
This mortgage was released by the inhabitants of the Dale head by deed dated 3d Feby 1651 in consideration of part of the estate, which part is now let for £24. |
Elizabeth Topsfield, late widow of William Fawcett, in 1658 left £3 for a sermon on the 29th day of Mar and £2 for waistcoats, 50 shillings of wh. is a rent charge upon a field of Mr. Dawsons called Stephenfield; |
