| Here lies the body of JOSEPH COWLING of Robin Gate who departed this life 8th of December 1781 in the 68th year of his age. Now I am offered - the time of my departure is come. I have fought the good fight,I have finished the course I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me [the]crown of righteousness which the Lord the righteous Judge will give me at that day & not to me only but also all them that love His appearing. For the Lord granted me the desire of my heart. I was not affrytid of death for the Lord was with me. He delivered me from every evil work & will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |  |
