| GEORGE GROVES of Stamford Bridge Who died Feb 20th 1909 Aged 79 years Also of JANE his wife Who died Aug 29th 1909 Aged 72 years George Groves was for many years a school teacher in Stamford Bridge, he was born at Newton upon Derwent. He was the younger brother of John Groves who ran the Cross Keys pub for some years in Dunnington. The grave is also that of his wife Jane, it is thought they had 12 children.
