"BLACKFORD, a parish in the hundred of Whitley, in the county of Somerset, 4 miles to the W. of Wincanton. Castle Cary is its post town. It is watered by the river Camel. The wing is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells, of the value of £177, in the patronage of B. H. Hunt, Esq.
