"TUGFORD, a parish in the lower division of Munslow hundred, county Salop, 10 miles N.E. of Ludlow, its post town, and 9 S.E. of Church-Stretton. The village is situated on a branch of the river Corve. The parish includes the township of Baughcott. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford, and in the patronage of the bishop. The church is dedicated to St. Catherine. The charities consist in Clinton's bequest of £100, the interest of which is given to ten widows annually. C.
