"WHITTERING, a parish in the liberty of Peterborough, county Northampton, 3 miles S.E. of Stamford, and 2 N.W. of Wansford. The land is principally arable, and belongs to the Marquis of Exeter, who is lord of the manor. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £112.
