"CORBY, a parish in the hundred of Corby, in the county of Northampton, 8 miles N.E. of Kettering. Thrapstone is its post town. The living is a rect* in the diocese of Peterborough, and in the patronage of the Earl of Cardigan, who is lord of the manor. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel, and there are British and free schools for boys and girls. The charities produce £11 per annum."
