It lies near the border of Warwickshire, not far from the source of the river Non, and contains the chapelry of Newnham. In the neighbourhood are quarries of stone called blue ragstone. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Peterborough, of the value, with the curacy of Newnham, of £306, in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Christ Church College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The parochial charities amount to £10 per annum.
