Hallington is a village and a parish 2.5 miles south-west of Louth. Welton le Wold parish is to the north-west and Withcall parish to the south-west. The parish covers 1,510 acres.If you are planning a visit:

Hallington is listed in the 1086 Domesday Book as "Halintun".

• This place was an ancient parish in Lincolnshire and became a modern Civil Parish when those were established.
   
• The parish was in the Wold division of the ancient Louth Eske Wapentake in the East Lindsey district in the parts of Lindsey.
   
• In April, 1936, this parish was reduced by 50 acres given to Louth Civil Parish.
