“BRAUNCEWELL, (or Branswell), a parish joined to Dunsby, in the wapentake of Flaxwell, parts of Kesteven, in the county of Lincoln, 4 miles to the N. of Sleaford, its post town. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Lincoln, of the yearly value with the vicarage of Anwick and the rectory of Dunsby united, of £715, in the patronage of the Marquis of Bristol. The church is dedicated to All Saints.

It was formerly a distinct parish, but is now united with Brauncewell. The living is a discharged rectory, united, with the vicarage of Alnwick, to the rectory of Brauncewell. - The church was rebuilt in the early 1800s.
- The chancel was rebuilt in 1855.
- The church seats about 80.
- The Diocese of Lincoln declared this church redundant in May, 1973. In October of 1978 it was gifted as a monument to the people.

This small village and large parish are north-west of Sleaford, in a rural, agricultural area. The parish covers about 3,500 acres, but was only 2,480 acres in 1842. The parish is often listed as "Brauncewell with Dunsby". Dunsby was formerly the parish of Dunsby St. Andrew, but had reduced in size to a mere hamlet.
