Description in 1871:
"THORPE-SATCHVILLE, a chapelry in Twyford parish, Leicester; 5 miles S by W of Melton-Mowbray r. station. Post town, Melton-Mowbray. Acres, 4,278. Real property, £2,116. Pop., 171. Houses, 38. The property is much subdivided. The living is annexed to Hungerton."

- The parish was in the Melton Mowbray sub-district of the Melton Mowbray Registration District.
